PostSubject: Episode 1: The Doccine   Episode 1: The Doccine I_icon_minitimeTue Oct 08, 2013 3:26 pm

The box was tight, bubble-wrapped, constrictive, but clear. Seven days of voyage in this comfortless bed, within the slumber of ages, coming to an anticipated restlessness. The light had shone through this gate for seven full days, but it was the motion of a jocking tide that finally put life in its step.

A harsh sound beckons from the docks as eyes reanimate and marble skins flakes from a bound host. Coming-to, after years of docility, it was embraced with a foreign force-feild forged of fitted plastics and fibreglass all wedded with bits of trapped stone. It was impossible for the weak and tied to break - a straightjacket. He despeately needed to breath, attempting to scrape its jaw against the grate to tear a hole. It was still impossible.

He weezed a scared cry, making ruckus, a plea for help. The sound was shrill and vibrated though the tins and metal of the shipyard, leading to a large frigate with plenty of storage units. It was obvious where this noise was coming from.

(Continued from https://shatteredwings.forumotion.com/t9-new-place-a-new-time )
Hamlet was wrong. It wasn't a body, merely a trick of his eyes, the bright dock-side lights refracting in his vision, news choppers, garbage on the wind. When they got to the body, they saw it was nothing but someone's discarded winter jacket. Hamlet picked it up with curiosity and showed it to Aciona.

Then he heard a new sound coming from the big cargo freight containers in the port. He looked at Aciona again, and climbed up from the shore, into the maze of metal containers. He followed the reverberating sound, trying to find whoever or whatever was making such horrible banging noises.

Bronx knew how to hide. However, he was dropped down to let run. He caught the scent of Gargoyles he knew. He took off running and came out of the shadows and landed on Hamlet's Chest, taking him to the ground, licking his face.

Hamlet crashed onto his back, his face licked, but due to the rise of his collar, and his new scarf, he was mostly drool-free. He blinked up at Bronx, giving a pet before pushing him off. The beast probably most smelled Boudicca who was still on Avalon. He got to his feet, looking for anyone accompanying Bronx, as well as where Aciona was.

He pet Bronx again, and pointed to the fright where the noises were coming from.

Bronx Rolled off of him. He licked Aciona too. Then he sniffed around the Cargo Container. Then he looked up at the sky. Broadway and Angela were landing. Angela smiled and moved in for a Hug, "Hamlet, Aciona." Then before anyone could stop him, Bronx bit into and ripped off the lock.

Aciona smiled, hugging Angela. "Hello, how did you knew we were coming?" She asked her, looking confused.

Angela spoke, "Elisa called Goliath. She saw evidence of a Gargoyle at the Beach. They are searching the warehouses over there. We are searching over here."

A howl sounded from the unlocked crate, as, what looked like an art-student's experience blasted open the door with immense strength. It growled and sneered behind blanketed plastic, struggling to breathe in the cinder's of voices that burned around him. Fire like sounds, whispers, tickled his ears in his state of panic. This suffocation in a fiery world was taken by Saint Christopher as Hell.

God, what I have I done to deserve this? The beast thought as his weakness took over, his breaths short, and his knees caving beneath him. He lied about the middle of them, growling and whining.

Helping an injured dog could be dangerous. Be Advised! Approach with caution.

Hamlet watched Angela and Aciona embrace. He wondered what she would say if she knew Gabriel had moved on. A new second in command, a new mate, everything.

Or maybe he was just being petty. He was still so angry with the situation. Perhaps in Angela he'd have an ally. Or maybe they could find some shallow solace together. Unlikely, but there was always hope.

But the thoughts were ripped from his attention as the crate broke open, and the plastic and plaster covered creature tumbled out, and onto it's side on the concrete and pebbles. Hamlet looked at the other gargoyles, then at the mutt before them. What to do?

OOC: Assuming that Wormsmeat Character knocked open the door after Bronx tore off the lock.

When the door knocked open, it hit Bronx, but he was already moving. He hit with the ground with a roll and a grunt.

Angela and Broadway roared with Bronx was knocked to the ground. Their eyes were glowing.

Bronx managed to get up. He limped over between the Dog Gargoyle and the Gargoyles of his Clan. He barked at the Dog Gargoyle.

Angela spoke, "Bronx stay back."

They were waiting for a response from this New Gargoyle.

Hamlet looked at the bound gargoyle, then around at the circle of his peers. Was no one going to do anything?

He exhaled and went to his knees. Carefully, he took hold of the bubble wrap keeping this bony gargoyle imprisoned. He pulled, taking his time to work through the many layers of simple bubble wrap. He didn't want to overshoot and accidentally hit the gargoyle's skin.

He ripped it first under the jaw, then pulling it over the muzzle and long gazelle-like horns, so the poor creature could breathe. Breathing was most important. He put his hand on the long throat, hoping to feel a pulse.

He looked at the other gargoyles, who were standing, then he snapped his fingers and pointed to the plastic over the torso and limbs. He'd tell them to be careful but, of course, he couldn't.

Broadway went in first, followed by Bronx. Broadway tore away the plastic. Bronx had his back. He took up enough room, intentionally, keeping Angela away.

Broadway blinked down at the new gargoyle. "One of yours?" He asked Hamlet.

Hamlet shook his head and watched the creature's ribs, looking for the rise and fall of breath. He looked at Aciona, Angela. He noticed Bronx trying to sniff at the downed gargoyle with curiosity. Well, at least he wasn't growling. That was a good sign.

Angela pushed past Bronx and got on her knees next to Hamlet. She lifted the beast's head and placed it on her lap. She folded one wing over her shoulder, and fanned the other one, trying to provide a cool breeze to stimulate him awake.
