Job Hunting cont.

Aubrie smiled as she walked in the door to the Eyrie Building and to the receptionist. She needed to be as professional as she could be to even hope landing a job in a posh place like this. "excuse me, do you have any job applications or should i just leave my resume and my contact information?" she held the paper with her resume, which was rather detailed, since her parents let her do almost anything that caught her fancy at the time; ballet, volunteer work, girl scouts.... thinking back perhaps she should have tried to have more control and actually finished a few of the class semesters before running off and quiting. come to think of it how did college keep her interest long enough to finish.

she gave her head a light shake as she pulled her self back, handing the resume to the receptionist.

Owen was walking by. His sleeve covered his stone hand. He saw you and walked over, to the Receptionist, "Let me see the Resume." He looked it over. "Come with me," he looked at the Resume, "Ms Thompson." As soon as they were out of relative ear shot, "Does your father know you are in New York?" She would know what he was talking about. It was common knowledge that Xanatos had Puck teaching his Son, the Grandson of the Queen.

the smile dropped from her face. "no.... he doesn't." she swallowed a little and shifted her stance. "Puck?" she whispered. "I didnt expect to find you so soon. I ran when they went after you. I don't want to waste my life away at home. I'm far too spoiled with this world. It's much more fun." she was hoping he wouldnt tattle on her.

He looked at her, "I apologize. I did not introduce myself. My name is Owen Burnett. Your resume is impeccable. Degree in Business, Administrative Assistance, and a long list of additional Certifications. EMT, Law Enforcement, and Fire Fighter. I think we can find a place for you." He was really buttoned up in this form. He did not acknowledge that he was Puck. However, he did not deny it. He was just all about business.

OOC: I know you do not know anything about Law Enforcement or Fire Fighting, but they are good skillsets to have. He is going to get you started as a Receptionist, then get you moved over into a project manager position.

She looks at him, biting half her lip, "so you know my father?" she asks, slipping back into her proper act. "well, with plenty of time and just wanting to make a differance in the community, you tend to pick several side jobs and volunteer work." she smiled her charming smile, the one that used to get her all kinds of things.

He looked at her, "I have had my run ins with him. I expect that you will not intentionally cause problems for this organizations. I espect that you will work hard."

"Are you sure it's the same Mr. Thompson? It is a very common name. And if you look at my records, you'll see that I have clean records across the boards. I would never intentionally cause trouble for anyone. I strive for perfection in the work place. And most of all, I keep my private life out of my professional life." she straightens up a little bit, smiling at him.

He took her into the Elevator, and pushed the button that HR is on, and as soon as the door close, he spoke, "Oberon is not a common name. If that does not cause a problem, then you can get a chance to show that you are a Perfectionist, Sage."

"so it is you." she sighed. "and you know I've never been a perfectionist, but i can play one. im assuming that that will be noted on the side of my resume then? since i know that if youre here, they know about our kind." she smiles, a little bit of mischief flashing in her eyes. "and i promise to behave."

Owen looked at her, "David Xanatos knows about Puck. However, I am not Puck. I am Owen Burnett." He pushed the Stop Button. "I am only Puck when training the Son of Mr and Mrs Xanatos." He looked at her, "I have a job for you. If you are up for it."

"but you are still Puck inside, which is the important part to you knowing my name andnot trying to kill you on the spot. and a job? two questions; am i getting compensated and is it ok with me dressed like this?" she asked, indicating her brown leather boots, jeans,t shirt, sweater and scarf. "im not exactly dressed to start a job at a fancy place like this."

Owen Burnett snapped his fingers looked at her, "No, Owen Burnett is his own person as is Puck. I am only Puck when training the Child. Unless I am training the Child, I am just Owen Burnett. I am going to teach him how to strip glamor. You will need to make yourself invisible, except to the person you are going to get, and going to this room." He wrote down a room number with an access code. "Then you will take her to this location." He wrote down a cross street and the phrase Sewer Sub Tunnels. "Do not let any of the inhabitants see you."

Aubrie just rolled her eyes. why did he have to make this so difficult? but whatever. she didnt care "you're no fun anymore... but i got it. If youre someone else, dont break character with out of character knowledge. ive been at this game as long as you have, Mr. Burnett.." she teased him, then turned back to the notes. "this sounds easy enough. you just want me ti kidnap someone underground? shouldnt be too hard. invisibility isnt my thing though."

(glamour? what's that? it sounds like a world of darkness term. and stripping it does not sound healthy.)

Owen looked at her, "You are escorting someone from here and taking them underground. You are just making her believe that you are rescuing her."

(Glamour is how the Children of Odin make themselves appear like normal humans, to normal humans. It is a type of magic. Basically, Puck and the baby are going to make it so that you can not use Glamor for a brief moment.)

"so in short, it's just an escort to underground or am i bringing them here? and why are you stripping glamour? if you want me to be sage then just request it. I have the capabilities to change whenever I wish and cna take on my true form whenever I may wish." she says, still walking behind him. she didnt much like the thought of having Aubrie torn away from her, though, even if it was only for a little while. Having powers as she did was just feeding into her cappricious nature.

Owen looked at it, "You are taking her from here to there. You need to be You until I teach Young Alexander how to strip glamour. Then you will be Sage." He looked at her, "The Child gets his magic lesson and the Package Trusts you."

"well, then let us get started." Aubrie smiled. "we dont have all night. I do still have work in the morning unless i get the job here officially tonight. lets go meet this girl so we get her underground."

Owen looked at her. "You have a job to do." He turned the Elevator back up. The door opened. He left Aubrie out. "Have a nice day." After she got off, he continued upstairs to the Castle.

Aubrie nods and walks out. she sighs and shakes her head, continuing on. "just hope you actually give me a job. i hate not getting enough sleep." she continues on, seeing where she is heading.
