Temporary Arrivals

Talon lead the way in, "It is okay. This is Shadowstrike and Albany."

Albany stayed next to her brother, taking his hand, not wanting to be far from the only one left of her family. She couldnt fight, but she didnt want to be far from him if he needed her. She looked around the area at the others around. humans were everywhere and then there was claw and talon.

Maggie the Cat brought over a couple of glasses of Sweet Tea. Shadowstrike smelled them, then he let her give the tea to Albany. He took one and tasted it. He looked at her, "What is this?"

Maggie looked at him and smiled, "It is Sweet Tea."

Shadowstrike took another drink. "Sweet Tea?", he took another drink, "this is good."

Albany smiled. "thank you very much." she sniffed it too and then drank it. She liked the sugar. "can you teach me to make this? Oh. My name is Albany. It's nice to meet you."

Maggie looked at her, "Yes, I can. It is easy." He took her to the Kitchen and showed her.

Shadowstrike looked at Talon, "I am a Gargoyle, but I was made from his DNA." He pointed to Claw. "The Man made it so that I could turn to stone."

Talon looked at him, "Interesting."

Albany tightened her grip on Shadowstrike's hand before letting go. She followed Maggie, feeling a little safer here. She worked hard on making it, even though it was just tea. She was having fun. She looked to Maggie. "so you live here? it's a nice place." she smiles and accidently spills the sugar in the tea. "oops!" she starts trying to keep more from pouring into the tea. SHe looks a little ashamed and embarrassed. "sorry... I do that sometimes. I bump into things. I keep walking into stuff with my wings too."

Maggie looked at her, "It is fine. We just put it into more tea. It is fixable."

"that's really smart. I should have thought of that." she blushed a little. "Who is David Xanatos? I heard that name a few times last night, but he wasnt the one who made my family."

Maggie snarled and then calmed down,"He is a Rich, Mean, Sociopath that paid Sevarius to do this to us. He wanted to make Gargoyles, when he could not, the Dr made us. Eventually, Sevarius got Gargoyle DNA to experiment on."

"oh... im sorry. i didnt know..... i didnt mean to upset you...." Albany looked down at the floor. "not all humans are that bad..... are they?" she asked, a little worried. there had to be at least a few.....

Maggie looked at her, "Talon's Sister is Good. The Humans we protect her are Good. According to the Gargoyles, Xanatos has changed, but..."

Talon spoke up, "We do not trust him." He finished her sentence.

"i'm sorry. but i will keep it in mind. and it is good that not everyone is out to harm us! i will have some trouble trusting after what happened last night.... but i think one day maybe, we wont have to be afraid." she turned to walk back to shadowstrike with more iced tea, hitting her wing a lightly on the counter. she grunted a little, annoyed, but reminding herself to give it time. it was a miracle they could walk and talk.

Shadowstrike grinned at her, "Graceful Albany. Just like a Cat."

"well, unlike you and the others, i am no cat. you guys at least are part. i will learn." she offers him the glass with half a smile. "i'm sure even kittens trip up sometimes. it is a miracle that we can walk and talk. me being a little clumsy and unaware of m ysurroundings is excusable."

One of the Humans comes over to Shadowstrike and asks to whisper. Shadowstrike leans down and listens. Then he asks the human, "Are you sure?" The Man nods. "Alright." Shadowstrike looks at Albany, "Do you want a little cat in you?"

The Homeless man is laughing. Maggie looks shocked that he said it. Even Claw gags on his Tea.

Albany tilts her head in confusion. "i think i probably have had enough gene manipulation. there seems to be nothing wrong with me the way i am." she looks a little sad. "am i not good enough the way i am?" she asks the homeless man, a little hurt at the thought, not seeing that there was a joke there.

Shadowstriker looked at Albany, "I think he convinced me to say something sexually profane." The Old Homeless Man was laughing.

Talon rushed him away, he looked at Albany, "I am sorry about that. He has a rough sense of humor, not usually for the presence of Ladies."

"oh." she actually blushed, her face turning a deeper red. "it's ok. i didnt get it." she didnt know what to say or do. "so um....." she said trying to think of something to change the subject to. "what would you like us to do? we are here so i dont see why we cant help out or something."

Shadowstrike smelled the air. "23 Humans currently present. 4 of them are Children. 5 are Female." He drank from his tea.

"so, what do we do from here? i dont want to be useless. the least we can do is try to help. i wouldnt mind learning how to make more kinds of food." she turned looking to the people. "children? why are they here?"

Talon looked at her, "They are homeless. Their parents can not find work on the surface."

"humans should take care of each other. are most of them all so selfish as to not care about others?" she wasnt liking humans very much. they seemed to all have some sort of cruel streak of some kind of another. she kept telling herself that everyone had to have good in them.

Shadowstrike looked at her, "I am not sure it is that simple."

Albany plays with the condensation on the side of her glass. "i dunno. i guess i'll understand better when we get to see."

Shadowstrike looked at her, "Humans are descended from Warriors. However, they have been stripped of being allowed to be Warriors, so they try and be thugs instead. They are trying to take care of each other, without seeing the big picture."

Talon looked up them, "I have never heard it put that way. Kind of a Romantic View."
